Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the AECB CarbonLite courses. They should be read alongside, and are in addition to, our privacy and cookies policies. Please read these terms carefully. By accessing the learning platform (by whatever means or device) and taking part in the courses, you agree that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and the privacy/cookies’ policy.

In booking an online course with us, you accept the following terms of booking:

Multi-buy Discounts

Discounts are available only to AECB company membership levels, that have supplementary members, when the bookings are made for candidates within the same company/organisation as part of one order/transaction.

5% discount for a group of 2-4

10% discount for a group of 5-9

15% discount for a group of 10 or more

Multi-buy discounts are not available when purchasing a course at the student member or student supplementary member price.

For information about cancellation and refunds involving multi-buy discounts, please see the Training Centre Cancellation and Refunds policy.

When you make a booking, in order to join and take part in the course, you must pay the fee due for the course. You can pay online via credit or debit card. Alternatively, you can email training@aecb.net to request an invoice to pay by BACs. All fees must be fully paid prior to embarking on the course.

Cancellation and Refunds

There are separate cancellation and refunds terms and conditions for each of our courses. Please refer to the full Training Centre Cancellation and Refunds policy.

In all cases where the AECB may cancel a course, a choice of a full refund or transfer to another course (balance made payable for a more expensive course) will be offered to all delegates.

A certificate will be provided once you have completed the course according to the course completion requirements.

For courses where a graduate logo is provided, graduates may display the graduate logo to show that they have completed the course. Use of the main AECB logo is a separate matter and is only permitted with a current AECB membership.

AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Graduate Logo

The AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Graduate logo may only be displayed by those who have successfully completed the AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Foundation course (the full course) or the AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Coordination course.

Please link the logo to our website here.

Please remember that the AECB is not an accrediting body and so displaying a graduate logo only shows evidence of participation in learning.

AECB PHribbon Endorsed Users Logo

The AECB PHribbon Endorsed User logo may only be displayed by those who have successfully completed the AECB PHribbon Course.

Please link the logo to our website here.

Displaying an endorsed users logo confirms having taken part in a course personally instructed by the author of the PHribbon software, and having been tested in the ability to carry out PHribbon Whole Life Carbon calculations.

You will keep all course material content confidential and not divulge, use or exploit the same except as expressly permitted under any supplementary written agreement entered into with the AECB. The foregoing restrictions shall not apply to the extent the information:

(a) ceases to be confidential and enters into the public domain, or (b) is acquired by the receiving party from a third party free of any obligation of confidence, or (c) is required by law to be disclosed.

If a situation arises that has not been covered by these Terms, we reserve the right to take any fair and reasonable action that we think appropriate.
